Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Taylor is an American actress and producer recognized for her roles was in Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and The TV show The Mentalist. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue is an actor in the theater and film who is producer. She started her career as an actress in theatre but then proceeded to play in a variety of television series, mainstream and independent films. The actress became famous for her role as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico while also appearing in the epic BET series The Book of Negroes. In both these roles she earned critical acclaim, as well as a variety of nominations and awards including her first award, the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. In 1995 she made her acting debut as Ariel in The Tempest as Ariel. Some stage credits are Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production directed by Joe Turner. Film-wise, she's best known for the roles she played in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her role as a regular on the drama series High Incident on ABC High Incident earned her praises.
