Anamaria Marina is an Romanian actor. Her first screen appearance was in Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 movie for which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award as the best actress. French, German English fluently. Her father is the director of the theater at one of Romania's finest drama schools. She was awarded the Best Female Actor Award for the Year in 2000 at The Mangalia Young Actor Gala. In 2008 The European Film Promotion Board recognized her as an European Shooting Star. Alongside her impressive performance in her first film, the actress will also be remembered for role in the Romanian art-film 4 Months 3 weeks and 2 Days which won her many awards like the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. In 2007, she starred on the Romanian film 4 luni 3 semaines si2 (4 Three Weeks, Four Months 4 Months 3 Weeks and 3 Weeks, 2 Days) 4 months 3 weeks 2 days, directed produced by Cristian Mungiu (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days). The film won two awards at Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize from the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also a part of her professional career. In 2008, she played Yasim Anwar in the BBC 5-episode miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca has appeared in the Romanian drama Boogie along with Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven. She appeared as Irma in Fury 2014 in which she played the role of a German name aunt of Emma.
